Last week I shared my recipe for crock pot applesauce and homemade bread. I had a linkup listed and below is one which really stuck out…

Dawn from Simple Blessings
Talked about the things she hungers for as a mother. She quotes Galatians 6:9, “So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.”
I believe you will be blessed by this post as well as see her as a blessing!

This week’s linkup is featuring my crock pot yogurt. It is simple, easy and delicious!

Crock Pot Yogurt

1/2 Gallon    Milk
1 C              Plain yogurt with live active cultures
Food Thermometer (optional)

Pour the milk into the crock. Cover and turn on high and let milk heat until almost boiling. The actually temp is 180 degrees which is approximately 2hrs. Turn crock off. Take lid off and let cool back down to 115 degrees. Stir it around ever so often while cooling. Stir in 1 C plain yogurt. Put the lid back on, wrap entire crock in beach towel and set away for 8-12hrs. (we have a thermal bag we use) Stir it up and put into containers. SAVE 1 C for next yogurt batch! (freeze it)

I’m excited to read your posts! Don’t forget to link back here so others can join in the fun ;o)

Link up rules are as follows:
The link up can be anything from a recipe, DIY to a lesson God has taught/is teaching you. Anything pertaining to homemaking, homeschooling and being a Proverbs 31 woman is welcome!

Crock-Pot Applesauce
4 apples    Peeled, cored & chopped (The photographed recipe is doubled)
3/4 C        Water
1/4 C        Sugar
1/2 tsp      Ground Cinnamon

Combine everything in the crock and turn on MED heat for 3-4 hours. Mash with potato masher or fork and store in the fridge. I didn’t mash mine this time and left them in the cubed shape. We liked them a lot better that way. Just play with it and make it your own!

Basic Organic White Bread
1 1/2 C         Hot Water (110-115 degrees)
2 TBsp          Sugar
1 1/4 tsp       Yeast (dry active)
1 tsp             Salt
2 TBsp           Butter
4 C                All-Purpose Organic Flour

Measure water in a bowl. (With kneading attachments) Add sugar and yeast. Let sit for 5min. In mixing bowl add, 3 1/2 C of flour and salt. When yeast is activated pour over flour. Add butter. Stir together. (Wanting a doughy consistency) Grease mixing bowl and turn dough over in it to grease all parts. Cover with damp dish towel and let sit in warm area until the dough is doubled in size. Punch out all the air and make loaf bread.
Bake @ 350 for 20-30 min in a greased loaf pan.
*Keep in mind these are smaller loaves so for our family we use about 4-5 loaves a week. The recipe is super simple and doesn’t require tons of kneading, you can whip it up real quick!

I can hardly WAIT to read all of your posts!!!
Remember to link-up!!!

So I have decided to start a Friday link-up entitled…“Quick-Tip Fridays” Link-Up!
I thought it was kinda catchy, no?

Anywho, I was hard at work today putting together my recipe in hopes that I would encourage you to get a little flour in your hair and maybe on the floor and make wonderful memories with your family!

So here goes!

This is a recipe that I am using as a quick and healthy breakfast for the hubster. He needs things that are GOOD for him but are also easy to grab and head out the door. This is something that I put together and I hope you find it just as delicious we I do!

Banana Oat Muffins
2Lrg      Eggs
2/3 C     Light brown sugar
2           Organic bananas, mashed
1 C        Buttermilk
1 C        Oats (or unprocessed wheat bran)
1/4 C     Oil (olive, coconut etc)
1 tsp      Pure Vanilla Extract
1(3/4)C  Whole Wheat Flour
1.5 tsp   Baking Powder
1/2 tsp   Baking Soda
1 tsp      Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp   Salt
Pre-heat oven to 350*

Combining the ingredients…

Mixing in the rest…

Pour into the muffin pan…

Pop it in the oven for 15-20 min…

Oh if there was such a thing as smell-a-vision we would ALL be in heaven…

Breakfast is served…

Once these have cooled you can wrap in plastic wrap and store in the fridge. My husband has a spot in the door of our fridge where is breakfast is kept. These are there along with MommyBars and other goodies…What’s that? What are MommyBars? Come back next Friday and see!!!

Happy Linking Everyone ;o)

Rules for link-up are:
1. Post must be a recipe or a quick-tip type.
2. If you post a recipe please try to incorporate non GMO products and things that are HEALTHY for us.
3. DIY posts are ALWAYS welcome too!
